The house itself is a single story wooden property built on the site of the Cove’s Pilchard storage tanks by a fisherman from Cape Cornwall in 1906.
In restoring the house our aim was to create a feel that is airey and light, very much boutique beach house rather than beach hut.
During the extensive renovation we took care to bring back to life many of the long hidden original features such as timber clad walls and stripped pine floorboards.
The colour scheme is fresh antique white with blue, the decor an eclectic mix of antique furniture (such as a pew salvaged from a local church), original artwork, vintage posters, craft textiles and an interestingly stocked bookcase.
Of course the crowning glory are the stunning views from the huge bay window. To the west Cowloe reef and the Atlantic ocean beyond, to the north the rugged north Cornish coast with Cape Cornwall in the distance.
We set out to create our perfect beach house at our favourite beach Sennen. So much more than just another bland example of self catering holiday accommodation, we think you will enjoy staying here as much as we do.
